The size is not the hard part — the head ratio is

Almost every rejection is a head that is too small or too large in the frame. The US asks for 50–69% of the height; Schengen and the UK ask for 70–80%. Same photo, different crop, one accepted and one rejected. Each page below locks the frame to its own ratio and draws the band the head has to fill.

Every spec page gives you

  • A spec table: mm, inches, pixels, dpi, head band, background
  • A locked crop frame with head guides
  • A 300 dpi JPEG, stamped so print size is correct
  • An optional 4×6 inch print sheet with cut lines
  • The specific rejection reasons for that document

What we deliberately do not do

No auto face detection in v1 — the guides are explicit and you place the face. No hair-level background removal: only flat-background replacement and transparent-PNG compositing. No “guaranteed approval” claim, because that is not something software can promise.

Frequently asked questions

Which size do I need?
It depends on the document, not the country alone: a US passport, a US visa and a green card all take 2×2 in; a Chinese 一寸 is 25×35 mm; a Schengen visa is 35×45 mm. Pick the document from the list rather than guessing from the country.
Is 300 dpi really necessary?
For print, yes — it is what makes the millimetre size come out right. A 600×600 px photo tagged 72 dpi prints at 21×21 cm instead of 5×5 cm.
Can I make a print sheet for a photo lab?
Yes: turn on “print sheet” and you get a 4×6 inch, 300 dpi page with several copies and cut lines. Most labs accept it as a normal 4×6 print.
