Common targets

The links below are the sizes that actually get requested by platforms: 1920×1080 for screenshots, 1280×720 for YouTube thumbnails, 1200×628 for link previews, 1080×1080 for square posts, 512×512 for icons.

Fit modes explained

  • Cover — fills the target and crops the overflow. Best for photos.
  • Contain — keeps the whole image and pads the rest. Best for logos and documents.
  • Stretch — ignores the ratio and distorts. Only for correcting a wrong export.

Lossless format, exact size

For screenshots and diagrams, choose PNG: dimensions are exact and pixels are untouched. For photographs, JPG or WebP keeps the file small enough to send.

Frequently asked questions

Will it stretch my image?
Not unless you choose “stretch”. The default fills the frame and crops the overflow, which keeps the subject proportional.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes, up to 200 per run. Every file is resized with the same settings, and the result can be downloaded as one ZIP.
Does it change the dpi?
It writes 300 dpi into the output metadata, which is what print forms expect. Pixel dimensions are what actually matter for screen use.
